My First Haircut

Well the time has finally come......I just received my first haircut. Although everyone loves my curls I told Mommy that it was time for a little trim before people start mistaking me for a little girl. We went over to my Aunt Stefanie's house because the twins were both getting haircuts and a nice lady agreed to do mine too. I wasn't really scared but more curious. I tried to sit still although having a stranger with scissors and a comb fussing with my hair was a little strange. She was able to get me all trimmed up and then decided that she should use the electric razor to trim up my neckline. I wasn't really impressed with that idea and although Daddy was holding me and telling me to be brave it was a little scary. Scissors...no problem, but the noise and vibration of the electric razor was scary so I did cry for minute. It was short lived and as soon as Daddy put me down I was happy again. I am happy to say that I have survived my first haircut and look like a little man now!!! Check out some photos from the big event.
Check out all my curls!!
Food will make me feel better right?
(okay, so maybe I was a little scared!)
Ah, it was nothing!!!
Looking good sporting my new haircut.

Summer Fun!

Oh, what fun I have had this summer! Carnivals, parks, family get togethers and more. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Old Settlers Picnic in Ferndale a couple of weeks ago and I had a really good time. We walked around and looked at all the booths, had some greasy carnival food (mom packed me my own dinner so I didn't get curly fries, bummer) and then we went to the carnival where Daddy took me on my very first carnival ride. Oh my gosh, was it ever fun. I got to drive this really cool car around the track. I absolutely loved it. Next, Daddy helped me play my first carnival game. It was the water one where you aim at the target with the water pistol and the first one to the top wins. Well guess who won?? ME!!!!!!!!! I won a green monkey and I gave him a great big love when the man gave him to me. I was so happy. After that it was time to go home but I got a special treat when we got home. Mommy gave me cotton candy. Of course she thought it was the first time I have had cotton candy but last month my Grandma Porter took me to a little carnival at her church and guess what, she gave me cotton candy! But please don't tell Mommy. What happens at Grandma's house, stays at Grandma's house. Here are pictures from this fun day.

Last Tuesday Mommy and I went to Kent, Wa to visit our friends Brad, Melissa, and Riley. We had a really good time. On Wednesday we went to the Woodland Park Zoo and spent the whole day looking at animals. They were all awake and playing while we were there so it was really fun. I saw elephants, giraffes, tigers, snakes, monkeys and so much more. My friend Riley had a great time too! She is 2 years old and my best friend! She got to feed the birds in the Willawong Station which was really cool. I actually slept through that part but Mommy told me all about it. The birds come and eat bird seed right off of your stick and Melissa even had one hop onto her stick.

Last weekend we went had a fun weekend exploring the parks around Whatcom County with our friends so stay tuned for some more photos.
