Having Fun at the Oregon Coast

Hello from the Oregon Coast. We are currently in Newport, Oregon and having a wonderful time. Our vacation has been great so far and Mommy and Daddy have taken me to many fun places. We started out in Warrenton for the first three nights. We stayed at a really cool KOA that had an indoor swimming pool that we used a lot. We also drove to Seaside, Oregon and went to the aquarium, walked on the promenade, and I got to go on my first caurosel ride. It was so much fun. Today we went to the Tillamook cheese factory and got to see how cheese was made. I even got to sample some the of the cheese. Yummy. We then went to the air museum and Daddy and I got to sit in several cockpits and take the controls. I loved pushing all the buttons and flying the plane. When we arrived in Newport we went to a big aquarium that had sea otters, seals, fish of all kinds and these really cool shark tanks that went above our head! Wow, was it ever neat. Well as you can imagine, Mommy has taken thousands of pictures but here are a few snapshots of our adventures. Trust me there will be more to come!! We will be home on Sunday so look for updates after that.

Okay, I know you are wondering why I am in the cooler right? Well you see, now that I can crawl so well Mommy and Daddy were having a really hard time setting up the tent trailer so they thought it would be a great idea to put me in the cooler so I couldn't go anywhere. Great thinking Mom, NOT!!!!

Here I am with Mommy and Daddy in Seaside Oregon. It was a beautiful sunny day and the beach was spectacular. Where's my sand bucket Mom?

Here we are at Ecola State Park which was awesome. We drove up a windy road and at the top the view was incredible.

We make it to the beach with our sand bucket!! Even more exciting was driving on the beach. You could go for miles driving on the beach which Daddy thought was really fun. He drove like he was Mario Andrette!! Hold on Mom, crazy Canadian behind the wheel.

Museums and more museums. We went to the Maritime museum in Astoria and the Air Museum in Tillamook. They were both a lot of fun.

And you thought I was to young to fly a bomber plane, huh!!!!

Last stop for today was the aquarium. Look out for the sharks!!!!

Daddy, is that you?

Outdoor Fun

Last weekend was lots of fun. Mom and Dad just bought me a new train to ride on and Daddy took me outside for my first spin around the driveway. We even chased after our cat Kirby which made me laugh but luckily he ran away just in time.

After some play time at home we went over to Grandpa Small's so he could help us get our trailer ready for vacation. He taught Daddy and I how to repack the wheel bearings. Here I am giving Grandpa a helping hand.

You just about got it Grandpa!!!

Daddy gave me a fun ride in Grandpa's wagon. We went to the shop to get the air tank so we could blow up the tires on the trailer. I just love hanging out with the boys.

I also am so excited to tell you all that I finally got my first tooth. Yep, on May 4th my first tooth finally appeared. Maybe by summer I can eat corn on the cob and steak!!! I also learned to crawl this week too!. I have been so busy huh! I have been practicing a lot and finally I figured it out and I am so excited. The first few days I just crawled a little bit but by the end of this week I have been exploring every corner of our house. Mommy has to keep chasing after me. I love to keep her on her toes. Today I hid behind the bathroom door and it took her a minute to find me. I don't think she thought it was as funny as I did though. I looked at her with a look that said, "This is only the beginning Mom."

Well we leave tomorrow for our vacation to the Oregon Coast so stay tuned for new photos of my big vacation. I am so excited.
