Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree......

Wow, who knew December could be so much fun!!! Yesterday we went to visit Santa Clause at the Bellingham Ferry Terminal. I went and sat on his lap and I wasn't scared at all. He was very nice and even gave me a candy cane. Then we went upstairs and I got a HUGE gingerbread cookie. They also had a choir singing which I really enjoyed. Then we got to go on a horse drawn carriage ride around Fairhaven. I especially enjoyed that. It was a fun time. Later that day Mommy and Daddy took me to the lighted parade in Lynden. There were firetrucks, tractors, and other machinery with lights all over them. It was so cool!! I went with my cousins Kellan and Aliyah and although it was raining we had a really good time. Unfortunately Mommy's camera died so she doesn't have any pictures but she did get some footage on her camcorder.

Today was Mommy's birthday so I decided to let her sleep in until 7:30. She was really happy about that. Then we took her out to breakfast and went to get our Christmas tree. That's mommy's favorite thing to do. We walked all over the tree field looking for just the right tree. I had so much fun running through the trees playing hide and go seek with Daddy. I also gave lots of trees a hug. It made Mommy and Daddy laugh. When we finally found the perfect tree I got to help Daddy cut it down. Then we spent the afternoon decorating the tree. I got myself all tangled in the lights and Mommy thought that I was the Christmas tree. I helped hang a few ornaments on the tree but mostly I found it more fun to take them off. Mommy and Daddy didn't find that as amusing though. Hmmm.. I wonder why? It was such a fun weekend and I can see why my mom gets so excited about the Christmas season!! ( don't worry I won't start listening to Christmas music in July like she does)

Here's a hug for you little tree!

Aren't I a great helper Dad??

Daddy I just love Christmas!!!!!!

Hey, it's Santa Clause... no silly it's my Grandpa Small

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Today was a sunny but cold day and Mommy decided that it would be a perfect day to hang up the Christmas lights. She was out there early in the morning (crazy woman) and later Daddy and I bundled up and went out to help her. We finished within a few hours but our neighbors came out and started hanging up their lights so now Mommy and Daddy have a Christmas light war going on. We thought we were done but this may just be the beginnning. Bring it on "Bungard" family!!!

Hey Dad, a little to the right..................

Sometimes if you want the job done right you just have to do it yourself!

Out of the way Dad, I'm coming up!

Looks like the neighbors might need a little help.
Maybe I will just take these lights over to them.

Trick-or-Treat

Happy Halloween! Wow, did I ever have a fun time this year. As you can see Mommy dressed me as a penguin. We went to 10 houses in our neighborhood and Mommy and Daddy pulled me around in my little red wagon. Nice huh! I got lots of candy although I really just wanted to go inside everybody's house but Mommy wouldn't let me. When we got home we had about 40 trick or treaters come to our door and I loved handing out candy to them. Grandma Porter came over and so did Aunt Stefanie, Uncle Travis and the twins. What a fun night

Trick or Treat!! Here I am at Grandma and Grandpa Small's trying out this trick or treat business. My first house and I was having a great time.

Here I am with Grandma and Grandpa Small. Look at that bucket of candy I got. I suppose I should share some with Mom and Dad.

Look at this scary house we went too!! Yikes. Of course I am such a brave boy that I wasn't scared at all. Just give me some candy and there won't be a problem.

Here I am with my cousins, Kellan and Aliyah. Kellan was a race car drive and Aliyah was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. We didn't really cooperate for our photo together but we managed to get one.

Heehaw cowboy!! This is how I entertained myself and everyone else while we were waiting for the trick or treaters. I love rocking on my Pooh!!

Happy Fall

This weekend Mommy and I have been enjoying the fall season together. Last night I got to carve my pumpkin and today we went to Hovander Park to enjoy the fall colors.

Carving my pumpkin was really fun and I loved sticking my hands way inside my pumpkin and pulling out the guts. They were so squishy. I tried eating the guts at first but I quickly learned that they really don't taste that good! I guess I should have listened to Mommy. She tried to warn me. Once we got the pumpkin all cleaned out Mommy carved a smiley face on him and then we put the candle in and turned out all the lights for the candlelighting ceremony. His glowing face lit the room and Mommy and I hugged in delight of our job well done.

Dare me to eat these pumpkin guts?

Yuck, this didn't taste all that good!

Gee, I guess I should have gotten a smaller pumpkin, I could lose my arm in this thing!

Good job carving the eyes Mom, it's just what I had in mind!

Hi Mr. Pumpkin, aren't you just cute!

A beautiful fall Sunday at Hovander Park

Look at all the pretty leaves Mom. Can I eat them???

Peek-a-Boo!

Look at all the animals, aren't they cute?

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Today was a beautiful autumn day and we couldn't think of a better way to spend it than a day at the pumpkin patch. Mommy and Grandma Porter took me to Stoney Ridge Farm to search out the perfect pumpkin. We took a ride on the hay wagon out the pumpkin patch and searched and searched until we found just the right one. Along the way we picked lots of squash too and before long there wasn't much room left in the wheel barrow for me. After we picked our pumpkins we got to visit the farm animals and then stopped for a quick picnic lunch. It was so much fun and I can't wait to carve my pumpkin with Mommy and Daddy.

"Look at all the pumpkins Mom!!"
Here we go on the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch

"What do you think of this one?"

Fun times in Sunny California

Well we just got home from San Diego, California and what a fantastic vacation we had. The sun was hot, the water cool, and the activities endless. Mommy and Daddy took me to so many fun places and we loved the vacation so much that none of us were ready to come home. Let me share some of the highlights of our vacation.

This was my first time on an airplane and man, was I ever excited. Mom and Dad bought me a small plane to play with and showed me pictures of airplanes to get me ready. Once I got to the airport I was ready to get on the plane.

"Is it time to go yet?"

Here is how Daddy got me around the airport without a stroller. Fun!!!!!

`"Come on Dad, let's get on the plane!"

"Look at the mountains Mom?"

The next day after arriving in California we went to Legoland. It was a fun park and I even got to go on some rides. I especially liked the water park they had. I ran through the fountains and got really, really wet but it was so much fun. People were stopping to watch me because I was laughing so hard. Here are some pictures from Legoland.

"Help, I'm being eaten by a Lego Lion!"

You didn't know we were going to New York City did you? Actually this was a miniature replica made out of legos. They had all the major cities in the United States and it was so cool.

Hey, these lego dudes are just my size!

"Daddy, will you help me build a lego house?"

The next day was spent on the beaches of California. Our resort was on Mission Bay were the water was calm but we were only 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean so we did spend time there also. I got to watch guys surf and the seagulls attack our lunch. Oops, nobody told Dad not to leave our lunch unattended! Oh well we all got a good laugh.

Here we are by our resort enjoying a beautiful day.
With the weather nearing 90 degrees the Pacific Ocean was a perfect place to stay cool. I loved splashing in the waves.

Beach Bum!

After a long day at the beach I came back and relaxed on our balcony. Life is rough huh?

The next two days were spent at SeaWorld. Mom and Dad thought I might be to young to enjoy it but we all had a great time. We rode some rides together, watched the Shamu and dolphin show and played at the water park. It was such a fun time and despite the hot weather I handled it well.

Here I am on the airplane ride with Daddy.

Feeding the dolphins was great fun. Daddy bought me some fish and I got to feed and pet the dolphins. When I get bigger Mom and Dad say they will take me back so I can swim with them.

Here I am getting ready to watch the 4D Sesame Street Show. We all had to put on these funny glasses but the show was fun. I look pretty cool in these glasses don't you think??

This was my favorite thing of all, the water fountains! They would randomly go off and it was so much fun waiting for the water to squirt out. It was also a good way to stay cool.

Here is a cute picture of one of the seals relaxing in the sun. We also got to feed the seals fish and they came right up to me barking and fighting over the fish.

I also got to meet the Sesame Street characters which was really cool. Here I am with Ernie. He gave me a great big hug!!!

Here we are on the last day of our vacation. We are sad to leave but are thankful for a wonderful vacation full of fun and great memories.
