My First Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone! My first Christmas was filled with many fun times and special times spent with my family. Let me recap my first Christmas for you.
First we went to Grandma and Grandpa Small's house on Sunday to have Christmas dinner. We had a yummy meal and I enjoyed opening my presents. My Grandparents got me some really cute outfits and some cool books that I really like. My Auntie Cheyanne and Grandma also helped me with my first arts and craft project. They put my hand in plaster and made an ornament for my Mommy. It was cold and squishy but it was lots of fun.
Here I am with my Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Small and Aunt Cheyanne.

Here I am with Mommy. I just opened my new book and we were listening to the monkey make funny noises.
Christmas Eve morning Mommy hosted a breakfast for my Aunt Stefanie and Uncle Travis as well as my two cousins, Kellan and Aliyah. They are twins and are almost two years old. After breakfast we all gathered on the floor to open presents and play. We bought my cousins legos an they had a great time playing with them. They also really enjoyed playing with me. I smiled and laughed and had so much fun. Here I am with my cousin Aliyah. Isn't she cute?
And this is my cousin Kellan. He had fun hanging out with me and rolling around on the carpet. Sometimes he would roll on me and it made me laugh. I really like my cousins.
Here I am with my new cell phone my Aunt Stefanie got for me. Of course I really liked the paper too!
On Christmas Eve Grandpa and Grandma Porter came over to help me celebrate my first Christmas. Mommy made a very nice Christmas dinner for everyone. I decided to take a nap and let them eat a hot meal. Wasn't that nice of me? When I woke up Grandma and I played on the inflatable bed and visited with Mom while the boys hung out and watched TV. Here is a picture of my Grandma and Grandpa Porter along with their dog, Peekaboo, as well as Mom and Dad and me. Here is another picture of me with my Grandparents. What do you think of my Christmas outfit? Pretty cute huh?
Here I am with Mommy and Daddy. Notice the picture behind us? Yep, it was the same one we used for our Christmas cards. Mom had it blown up and used as part of her Christmas decor.
So after lots of playing and an enjoyable evening it was time to go to bed. I didn't sleep very well that night but it was just because I was excited for Santa Claus to come. I'm not sure my Mom was so excited about getting up twice during the night but she didn't seem to mind. In the morning I was very excited to see all the presents under the tree and have Grandma and Grandpa there to celebrate with me. Here I am waiting to open my presents/
Ah, the time has finally come. PRESENTS!! This was one of my favorite gifts. It is a talking book that recites nursery rhymes for me. I really like it and have spent a great deal of time playing with it.

They say that Christmas is for kids but I don't think that age matters. My Daddy was so excited on Christmas morning because he received a Remote Control helicopter. He wanted one so badly and was grinning from ear to ear when he opened his present. He quickly put in the batteries and attempted to fly it in the house. Mom told him not to do it but he didn't listen and the next thing I know the helicopter is flying through the living room heading straight for the Christmas tree! Oh, I knew this was going to be ugly if he didn't get it under control real quick. Dad reached out and was able to grab the helicopter before it caused any damage. Of course Dad suffered a little scrape and one of the propellers broke but I guess it could have been worse. Mom told him from now on this is an "outside" toy only. Moments later Dad was no where to be found and when we heard a sudden "THUMP" on the roof of the house we quickly realized where he was. Yep, he crashed his helicopter onto the roof of the house. Mom gave him one of those looks and recommended that he practice on the flight simulator before trying to fly it again It was pretty darn funny and I can't wait until I am big enough to play with my Dad's toys. I'm sure the two of us will be getting into plenty of trouble together.

Here is my Daddy with his new helicopter.

You know although I enjoyed my gifts, Mom and Dad could have saved money and just gave me wrapping paper for Christmas. I had so much fun just playing in the pile of paper.

Later that morning we left to go to my Great Grandma Small's house. The entire family was there including my Great Grandpa who got to come home from the rest home to spend Christmas with us. It was a really fun time.

This is my Grandpa Smalls family. Starting from the left is my Great Uncle Bob, then my Great Grandma Small, Great Aunt Sally, Great Grandpa Small, Grandpa Small and my Great Uncle Lenny. They are such a fun loving family and I am blessed to have them in my life.

Here I am with my Mom and Dad at Great Grandma Small' house.

After Grandma's we went home, put on our pj's and spent the rest of the day in bed, watching movies, eating snacks, and resting. It was so much fun and so relaxing. Mommy said that it was her best Christmas ever!

Well that concludes my holiday stories. I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas too!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner and our house has undergone a festive transformation. Daddy hung lots of pretty lights outside and last weekend we all decorated the tree. I love all the sights and sounds of Christmas, especially when Mom and Dad march around the house singing Christmas carols. They certainly are not the next American Idol contestants but it is fun to listen to them. If only they knew how silly they looked but don't tell them I said that!

Here are a series of photos Mom took of me.

Okay this time she has really done it, How Humiliating!!!

Here I am decorating the tree. I got to hang one of my Mommy's ornaments from when she was a little girl.

Look at me, I am Santa's Little Helper!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

It's Snowing!! Today I experienced my first snowfall. It was so pretty. Mom took me outside just long enough to snap a couple of photos. I can't wait until I am bigger and we can go build snowmen in the front yard. I'm sure Dad and I will have lots of snowball fights too! For now I will just enjoy watching the snow fall.

Here is me and Mommy enjoying the snow

Hurry and take the picture Mom, it's freezing...........................brrrrrr..............................

Meet my Family

I have decided that it is time to start introducing you all to my family. I am so blessed to have lots of family who love me very much. Unfortunately I haven't met Daddy's side of the family yet but Mom and Dad are talking about a trip to Montreal sometime next year. I will start with my Great Grandparents.

Here I am with my Great Grandma Small on Thanksgiving.

And here I am with my Great Grandpa Small last Sunday. He lives in a rest home but sometimes gets to come home for family gatherings. It was great to see him and he really liked holding me.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! This year I am going to my Grandpa and Grandma Small's house for dinner. My Auntie Cheyanne will be there and my Great Grandma Small. I am really excited for my first Thanksgiving but a little sad that I only get to look at all the food but not have any. Somehow that seems completely unfair but Mom said that next year she will fix me a very yummy turkey dinner. I guess I just have to wait until then.

Here is a another fall photo shoot that Mom took of me in the front yard.

So guess what my mom did this time for a photo prop??? Give up? She stuffed me in her roasting pan, surrounded me with vegetables and took pictures of me as though I was her little thanksgiving turkey. Is someone going to help me out here!!!!!!!! What will she think of next?

Veteran's Day Storm

November 12th proved to be a very exciting day for Mommy and me. We woke to the wind blowing so hard we thought our house might blow away. Mom kept watching the trees in our backyard and I could tell she was a little bit scared. Then around 9:00 we heard a funny noise and saw our neighbor come running over to our house. Mom and I went to the kitchen window only to see tree branches obstructing our view. Yep, a cedar tree fell in our backyard. It fell parallel to our house so there was no damage and Mom and I were very happy about that. Then our power went out. Mom cuddled me in blankets and sang to me but a couple of hours later the house was getting cold and Mom was worried about the other trees falling on our house so we went to my Auntie Stefanies for the afternoon. It was a little scary but I just kept smiling and trying to reassure Mom that we would be just fine.

That afternoon I had my four month check up with Dr. Binder. I smiled a lot for him and he said that I am a very healthy little boy. I now weigh 13 pounds 15 ounces and still measure 23 1/2 inches long. After the doctor left the nurse came in a gave me four shots. Ouch, does that ever hurt!! I let out a big scream and cried for a couple of minutes but Mommy sang me a Christmas song and I felt better. For those of you who don't already know, my Mom listens and sings Christmas carols year around. My first word just might be "Christmas"

Here are some pictures of our tree .

Trick or Treat

My first Halloween was spent mostly at home in my nice warm house but Mom did take me out earlier in the week to visit my family. She dressed me up in a lion costume which was actually quite comfy. Everyone thought I was pretty cute. Here are a few photos of me.

Here is a picture of me at my Grandma Porter's house with my new stuffy named Spooky. This is my Uncle Brian and me.

This is the outfit that my Uncle Brian and Auntie Pam got me. I wore it to daycare and my little friend Mackenzie thought I looked cute. Okay, maybe this isn't the best picture of me but I really did look cute. I just wasn't in the mood for another picture. I'm going to be blind by the time I am one if my keeps taking so many photos of me.

Family Day

Today was a fun fall day for the three of us. Mom and Dad bundled me up and took me to Hovander park for an autumn walk and to see the animals. We walked through the woods with the leaves falling on our heads, next to the river where the water swiftly made it's way around the bend, and around the farm where we got to see all the bunnies, goats, pigs, and geese. One of the volunteers even let us pet a little chicken named Lola. This is a picture of me by the big red barn. I was so happy to be spending the day with Mom and Dad at the park.

Here is a picture of the big red barn at Hovander Park.

And here is a picture of my Daddy on our autumn walk. Isn't he handsome?

Autumn Fun!!!

Happy Autumn Everyone. Mommy and Daddy have been doing lots of fun things with me this fall. After picking out our pumpkin a couple of weeks ago it was time to carve it. Daddy did the carving for me. (That man is crazy with a knife! ) My pumpkin has a great big smiley face that makes me laugh when I see it. Here is a picture of it.

By now you all know how crazy my mom is when it comes to taking silly pictures of me. Here I am inside, yes I said inside, my pumpkin!!! I told you my mom is crazy!! I guess it is kind of cute although I wasn't willing to give a smile for this picture. Here are a couple more pictures with my pumpkin.

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend Mom and Dad took me to the farm to pick out my first pumpkin. With some help from Dad I chose a round, chubby, 25 pound pumpkin. We haven't carved it yet but we plan to give it have a great big smiley face just like me. Here I am in the middle of the pumpkin display.

Sleeping Beauty

Hello everyone! Life is going great in the Quinsey household. This week Mommy and I have been spending lots of time together going for walks, playing, and just smiling at one another. Sadly she has to go back to work next Monday and I can tell that she is really sad about that. She has found a wonderful lady to take care of me and I will only be three minutes from her work so I am going to be just fine. I will have a little friend who is five months old to play with and I think it will be a lot of fun.

Mommy has worked me into a perfect little routine and I am happy to report that I have been sleeping throught the night for the past three weeks. I love to sleep just like my mommy! Here is a picture of me during a photo shoot a couple of days ago. I started out happy but I was just so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open for any more pictures.

3 Months Old

Today I am three months old and doing great. I am happy most of the time and smile a lot now. Of course Mom and Dad are always making funny faces at me so it's no wonder I smile so much. Do they know how silly they look?

Here I am looking so cute in my diaper. I am a strong boy and hold my head up so well. I love to kick my legs and move my arms but I haven't learned to roll over yet.
Here I am with my furry brother Kirby. He loves to cuddle with me and he even let's me use him as a pillow. He still weighs a lot more than me but I am trying to catch up to him. Can you believe that he is 16 pounds! What in the world does Mom feed him?

My First Vacation

Today we just returned from our first family vacation. Mom and Dad took me on the Cascade Loop staying the first night in East Wenatchee with friends, the second night in Lake Chelan and our last night in Winthrop. We had so much fun and I was a really good boy. I tried to stay awake in the car to enjoy the pretty fall scenery but hard as I tried I slept most of the time. Funny, Mom and Dad never tried to wake me..... do you think they were happy I was sleeping?

Here is a picture of me with our friends in Wenatchee.

Here we are in Lake Chelan. We stayed at Grandview on the Lake which was a really cool condo that overlooked the lake.

Before leaving Lake Chelan Mom and Dad took me on a nice walk through Riverside Park. Here I am with Daddy on our walk.

We then drove to Winthrop and stayed at River Run Inn in a cabin. It was really cool there. Here is a picture of our cabin.

In the afternoon we walked through the town of Winthrop and ate at Three Fingered Jack's Saloon. Here I am with Mom.

Here we are outside of our cabin by the Methow River.

Overall we had a great time and I am excited to see where Mom and Dad take me next. I know we are going to have many fun adventures together!
